Intracerebral Hemorrhage

چکیده

Intracerebral hemorrhage is a stroke subtype with high mortality and poor functional outcome in survivors. Its main causes are hypertension, cerebral amyloid angiopathy, anticoagulant treatment. Hematomas have frequency of expansion the first hours after symptom onset, process associated neurologic deterioration outcome. Control severe reversal effect, management increased intracranial pressure mainstays intracerebral acute phase. Surgical evacuation hematoma by conventional craniotomy does not improve outcomes, but minimally invasive techniques may be valuable approach that deserves further evaluation.

Intracerebral hemorrhage.

Intracerebral hemorrhage (ICH) accounts for 10 to 15% of all strokes, but results in a disproportionately high morbidity and mortality. Although chronic hypertension accounts for the majority of ICH, other common causes include cerebral amyloid angiopathy, sympathomimetic drugs of abuse, and underlying cerebral vascular anomalies. Validated baseline predictors of clinical outcome after ICH incl...

Intracerebral hemorrhage.

Intracerebral hemorrhage (ICH) represents a significant fraction of all strokes and causes a disproportionate amount of stroke related morbidity and mortality, especially in young blacks. While diagnosis of this disorder has greatly improved in the CT era, morbidity and mortality remain essentially unchanged. Not one currently utilized therapeutic modality has been clearly associated with a ben...

Neuroinflammation after intracerebral hemorrhage

Spontaneous intracerebral hemorrhage (ICH) is a particularly severe type of stroke for which no specific treatment has been established yet. Although preclinical models of ICH have substantial methodological limitations, important insight into the pathophysiology has been gained. Mounting evidence suggests an important contribution of inflammatory mechanisms to brain damage and potential repair...

Quantitative Intracerebral Hemorrhage Localization.

BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE The location of intracerebral hemorrhage (ICH) is currently described in a qualitative way; we provide a quantitative framework for estimating ICH engagement and its relevance to stroke outcomes. METHODS We analyzed 111 patients with ICH from the Minimally Invasive Surgery Plus Recombinant-Tissue Plasminogen Activator for Intracerebral Evacuation (MISTIE) II clinical tr...

Neuroimaging in intracerebral hemorrhage.

I ntracerebral hemorrhage (ICH) is described as spontaneous extravasation of blood into the brain parenchyma. This clinical entity is present in 10% to 15% of all stroke cases 1 in the Western population, with reported incidence rates higher in Asia. 2–4 It is also associated with a higher mortality rate compared with either ischemic stroke (IS) or subarachnoid hemorrhage. 5 ICH is classified a...
